David Foster Wallace’s infamous piece “Consider the Lobster” has perplexed most audiences since it’s release in the 2000’s. I was so astounded to find that this piece was in fact about lobsters. I truly thought it would have been some perplexing representation for something, and perhaps it is. However, at its center, it is basically about the morals of bubbling lobsters alive alongside Wallace’s serious despising of the Maine Lobster Festival.
While Wallace investigates the complexities of bubbling lobsters alive, he furthermore represents an intriguing interpretation of the Maine Lobster Festival.
